Jay and I have a little garden in the front of our house where we grow tomatoes, cucumbers, basil, rosemary, sunflowers, and roses. It’s not a lot of space so we have to make the best of it and only grow what we really love. Growing my own food makes me SO happy. I grew up on a farm and I miss eating something every meal that you have grown yourself.

Yesterday we had to cut back our roses, they were taking over the area where our tomotoes and cucumbers are growing. It was hard to make the cut, there were so many beautiful roses on the vines that are now in water all over our house.

I think it’s super fun to incorporate vintage into every occasion, even gardening! And wearing vintage just makes me happier 🙂 Here’s a little snapshot of my typical vintage gardening outfit, and some shots of what the garden is looking like these days. Don’t you think this look is straight out of a ’50s gardening magazine?
